CLASSIFICATION: Information Technology
DESCRIPTION: Individuals in this role support the multiple information systems on which the employees, independent contractors, clients and customers of AboutFace™ rely.
REQUIREMENTS: IT staff member must-haves include:
- Broad functional documented experience and accomplishments in the following areas:
- Relational databases, including MySQL and SQL Server
- Web design development skills including HTML, XHTML, Javascript, CSS
- Demonstrated aptitude for systems administration including MS Windows 2003 Server, email systems and web server administration (IIS and Apache)
- Graphic design skills and software, including Photoshop, Fireworks and/or Paint Shop Pro
- Microsoft Office 2003 or above, including Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Access
- Exemplary face-to-face interpersonal and communication skills, as well as professional, well-kept image
- Excellent writing and formatting skills
- Independent problem analysis and resolution
- Quick and adaptive learning skills
- Perpetual learner - love of learning and natural curiosity about life
- Demonstrated organizational and project management skills a MUST, especially prioritizing and managing multiple projects simultaneously
- Fully functional, professional, private home office environment (AboutFace™ does not supply equipment like laptops and cell phones, but does supply LCD projector for presentations)
- Expert proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint and web-based applications
- Ability to maintain own PC and/or laptop, including installing, configuring and troubleshooting required applications
- Expansive interest in, knowledge of and appreciation for wide array of technology-related issues
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, innovative and technology-dependent environment
- Ability and willingness to follow established routines and procedures
- Detail-oriented, observant, precise and organized
- Ability to remain cool under pressure
- Travel as necessary
- Great team player - a MUST!
Additional technical expertise desired:
- MS SharePoint development and/or administration
- MS Exchange administration
- Third-party online reporting and web-based systems
- Data manipulation, "scrubbing" and migration
- Web application programming languages including ColdFusion, PHP and ASP.Net
- Strong sense of design with necessary skills for working in both print and electronic media
- Experience with customer relationship/retention management systems
- E-Marketing methodology including ezines, email campaigns, viral marketing, etc.
