Poorly Designed Evaluations
Below are some examples of how some great companies got stuck using poorly designed evaluations. The flaws in this design:
- Hand entered form means there is no use of an online reporting system. Web-based systems:
- Automate the trending process for greater levels of accuracy
- Real-time results help people apply the knowledge quicker
- Provide security for sensitive corporate intelligence
- Weak descriptive detail limits the manager's ability to coach the team, thus the team continues to lack the full understanding of exactly why they did not do well. Information is power!
The defect in this design:
- No name of the associate shopped
- No associate description to match those associates with common names
- No proof-of-visit (receipt or printed promotion attached) - How can the client assure the shopper visited this location? This limits the shopping provider from assuring shopper integrity.
